We’re excited to announce the sixth year of the Community Arts Incubator — a mentorship program by Wild Goose Creative. This program seeks to bring mentorship and community connection to the next generation of Columbus creatives. 

Who can apply as a mentee?

Any visual artists who are 18+ in the Columbus area and are interested in expanding their established creative practice through a 1:1 mentorship and workshops.

 

Mentee Expectations: 

Mentees will set goals that will be supported by your Mentor that can be achieved within the 9-month program.

In addition to goals set with your mentor, mentees will:

1) Create a piece of work to be featured at the end-of-year showcase: December 11th

2) Meet with your mentor at least one hour every month for the 9-month duration 

4) Attend monthly workshops at Wild Goose Creative from April - December

1. Kick-off Meet & Greet 

Saturday, April 18th, 2-4 pm at Wild Goose Creative (188 McDowell Street, Columbus, OH)

Meet your mentor and the other members of the program!

2. Monthly Workshop Meetings 

2-4 pm at Wild Goose Creative (188 McDowell Street, Columbus, OH) on the following dates:

May 9th
June 13th
July 11th
August 8th
September 12th
October 10th
November 14th
December 9th
December 11th

3. Monthly Mentor/Mentee Check-Ins 

Monthly, schedule to be determined with your mentor 

One-on-one time with your mentor to develop goals as well as work on your piece for the final showcase.

4. Community Arts Incubator Exhibition

Friday, December 11th, 6-9 p.m. at Wild Goose Creative
