2026-27 TMCF SOAR Scholar Application
  • 2026-2027 TMCF SOAR Application

    Rising Seniors, Class of 2027
  • The TMCF SOAR program provides support and champions students to determine a pathway after high school, through college, and/or workforce development. Each year, the program accepts a new cohort of students who enter the program by attending a week-long summer boot camp hosted by one of TMCF's member schools. During the school year, students are provided with webinars and activities to provide knowledge of academic and career opportunities, financial literacy, as well as personal, professional, and leadership development.

    Responsibilities:

    • Attend a 6-day summer boot camp at a participating host school
    • Actively engage in all program activities, including webinars and mentoring sessions throughout the school year
    • Regularly reflect on experiences by sharing insights during discussions and evaluations
    • Approach new experiences and opportunities with a positive attitude and willingness to learn
    • Positions Available: 100 Participants per partner school

If you would like to only participate as a virtual TMCF SOAR Scholar during your senior year (August 2026 - May 2027) instead of attending one of the summer bootcamps, please CLICK HERE to complete the application.

    Qualifications:

    • Must be a high school student graduating in the class of 2027
    • A minimum of 2.5 GPA on a 4.0 scale (preferred)
    • Must have an academic transcript (official or unofficial)
    • Submit a letter of recommendation from an academic teacher, administrator, advisor, coach or counselor at your school.
    • Write a personal statement (250-300 words) responding to the following prompt:
      • Prompt: What are your short-term and long-term goals after high school? How can your participation in the TMCF SOAR Program assist you in achieving these goals? (Note: In your response, reflect on how your experiences have shaped your goals and motivation.)

As part of the application process, we require students to provide their own contact information. While we appreciate parental support, it is important that students complete their application personally to ensure accurate and direct communication regarding important updates.

Parents may assist in the process, but applications submitted without the student’s contact details may be considered incomplete. Thank you for your cooperation in helping us maintain clear and direct communication with our applicants.
