Margaret Williamson Memorial Fund Grant Application Form 2026
The Margaret Williamson Memorial Fund was established in 2016 to honor the legacy of Margaret Williamson, Congleton’s beloved “First Lady,” who passed away in 2015. Margaret was a dedicated advocate for improving Congleton and an inspiration to many.

The Fund aims to continue her passionate work by supporting initiatives that enhance the cultural and natural environment of Congleton and its surrounding areas.

Funding Priorities

The Fund focuses on projects and ideas that enrich the community and reflect Margaret’s passions. Priority will be given to proposals based in Congleton and District that meet one or more of the following criteria:

* Encourage participation in music, theater, literature, performing arts, dance, or other artistic activities.

* Promote education and awareness of the natural environment, particularly for young people.

* Conserve or enhance the natural environment for the benefit of the community.
