    Application for New Affiliation to The Council

    This for is for the appliaction  for a new affiliation to the Central Council of Chruch Bell Ringers.

    Please work your way though it, and press submit at the end.

    It is recommended that before you proceed with this form, you make yourself familiar with the requirements of the various membership types as detailed in the Councils Rules and Standing Orders.

    At present there are three categories of affiliation:

    Affiliated Societies.  Societies with a membership of at least 75. The current affiliation fee is £1.00 per society member.  The number of representatives to the Council is dependent on the society’s membership.

    Associated Societies.  Open to societies that do not collect a membership subscription, and have a membership greater than 75. The affiliation fee is £0.40 per society member.  Associated societies are entitled to one representative to the Council.

    Regiestered Small Society. Open to societies that have a membership less than 75. The affiliation fee is £10.00 per society. Registered Small Societies are entitled to one representative to the Council.

     

    This form requests the uploading of several document:

    1. A copy of your constitution

    2. A copy of your safeguarding policy

    3. Details of your objectives, membership and activities.

     It is recommended that you have these to hand before proceeding.

    This is payable one the application to affilate has been approved by The Executive of The Council. Payment information will be supplied once the application is approved.  As an associated society, you will be entitled to one representative to the Council.

    This is payable one the application to affilate has been approved by The Executive of The Council. Payment information will be supplied once the application is approved.  As a small society, you will be entitled to one representative to the Council.

  • From The Council's Standing Orders:

    A Registered Society includes Affiliated, Associated, and Small Societies.

    S3.1 The Executive may approve an application from a bell ringing society to become a Registered Society where such a society satisfies the following conditions to the Executive’s reasonable satisfaction:
    a) it has a written constitution and duly appointed officers;
    b) it has safeguarding arrangements (dealing with the safeguarding of children and vulnerable adults) that reflect local best practice for the jurisdiction(s) where that society operates;
    c) it has supplied details to the Secretary of its objects, membership and activities together with contact details for at least two of its officers;
    d) its actions will not unreasonably frustrate the activities of any other Registered Society; and
    e) it satisfies such other conditions as may be stated in the Council’s Standing Orders and Policies.
