Letters of Recommendation & Good Standing Verification
All applicants must submit the following documentation for review by the SOS Scholarship Committee.
Two (2) Non-Family letters of recommendation
Letters must address the applicants character, recovery stablity, readiness for academic or vocational success, and personal growth.
Each letter must include:
- Recommender's full name
- Title and relationship to applicant
- Organization (if applicable)
- Phone number and/or email
- Signature (electronic signatures acceptable)
- Date
Family members may not serve as recommenders.
Good Standing & Sobriety Verification
Applicants must provide written verification confirming:
A minimum of six (6) months of continued sobriety
- Current recovery stability
- Accountability and responsible conduct
For SOS residents or alumni; verification must come from SOS leadership or an approved designee.
Note:
Incomplete applications will not be reviewed by the SOS Scholarship Committee.
