ADOPTION CONTRACT Saving the “Aggressive” Breeds Rescue Inc. (STAB Rescue Inc.)This Adoption Contract (“Agreement”) is entered into between Saving the “Aggressive” Breeds Rescue Inc. (“Rescue” or “STAB Rescue Inc.”) and the undersigned Adopter (“Adopter”).By signing below, the Adopter agrees to the following terms and conditions: Transfer of Responsibility: Upon execution of this Agreement and release of the dog to the Adopter, full and complete responsibility for the dog’s care, actions, behavior, and well-being transfers to the Adopter. The Adopter assumes all financial and legal responsibility for the dog from the date of adoption forward. Assumption of Risk and Liability Waiver: The Adopter understands that dogs placed through STAB Rescue Inc. may have unknown histories and may display behaviors including, but not limited to, barking, jumping, mouthing, scratching, or biting. Interaction with animals carries inherent risks. The Adopter voluntarily assumes all risks associated with ownership, care, handling, transporting, and interaction with the dog. The Adopter agrees to release, indemnify, and hold harmless STAB Rescue Inc., including its directors, officers, volunteers, fosters, and agents, from any and all claims, injuries, damages, losses, demands, actions, or liabilities arising from or relating to the adopted dog after the date of adoption, including but not limited to bites, behavioral incidents, property damage, or other harm. Behavioral Acknowledgment: The Rescue makes no guarantees, representations, or warranties regarding the dog’s temperament, health, or future behavior. The Adopter accepts the dog in its current condition “as-is” and acknowledges that behavior and health conditions may change over time. Care Responsibilities: The Adopter agrees to provide--Proper and sufficient food and fresh water, safe and appropriate shelter, regular exercise and enrichment, ongoing training and socialization, necessary veterinary care, including routine and emergency treatment. The Adopter agrees to maintain the dog in a humane and responsible manner at all times. Trainer Consultation Requirement: If behavioral issues arise, the Adopter agrees to consult with a qualified professional trainer or behaviorist prior to requesting return of the dog to the rescue. Mandatory Return to Rescue: The Adopter understands and agrees that if at any time they are unable or unwilling to keep the dog, the dog must be returned directly to Saving the “Aggressive” Breeds Rescue Inc. The dog may not be rehomed privately, transferred to another rescue, surrendered to a shelter, or given, sold, or transferred to any third party under any circumstances. The Adopter must provide a minimum of two (2) weeks written notice prior to return to allow the Rescue time to secure appropriate placement. Failure to comply with this return requirement constitutes a material breach of this agreement. Vaccination Requirement for Return: If the dog is returned to the Rescue, the dog must be up-to-date on all age-appropriate vaccinations. Veterinary records must be provided at the time of return. No Refund Policy: All adoption fees are non-refundable. Notification of Changed Circumstances: The Adopter agrees to immediately notify STAB Rescue Inc. if circumstances arise that may affect their ability to properly care for the dog. Entire Agreement: This document constitutes the entire agreement between the Adopter and Saving the “Aggressive” Breeds Rescue Inc. No verbal statements or prior agreements shall supersede this written Agreement. By checking this box I herby agree to the contract stated above.
