Thank you for supporting the Immigrant Journey Awards with your nomination. Please complete the form with as much information as is available.

Note: Nominees must be permanent residents or U.S. citizens.

Please do not submit more than one nomination form per nominee. Multiple entries will be rejected.

The Immigrant Journey Awards will be presented at the annual Immigrant Journey Awards Gala in Dallas, Texas in celebration of Immigrant Heritage Month.

Award finalists will be notified by May 15, 2026, and expected to attend the gala on June 12, 2026, at Communities Foundation of Texas, 5500 Caruth Haven Ln, Dallas, TX 75225.

The deadline to submit your nomination is April 30, 2026.

All applications are submitted electronically.

All nominees must be able to attend the IJA Gala in order to be considered for an award.

 

The award categories are:

Immigrant Entrepreneur Award – Honoring an immigrant business owner who has founded a highly successful business in DFW and who serves as a model and inspiration of success.

Immigrant Professional Excellence Award – Honoring an immigrant who has demonstrated significant professional achievements in their field and whose advancements in their field have positively impacted their profession or community.

Immigrant Spirit Award – Recognizing an immigrant civic leader or elected official who has contributed substantially to the community or the region.

Immigrant Advocate Award – Recognizing an individual, organization, business, or governmental entity who has made a positive impact on the lives of immigrants, and who advocates on behalf of immigrants.

Please provide the following information to support your nomination:

• Brief biography or history of nominee (1 page max)
• Description of the nominee's achievements and their importance
• One or more letters of support (optional)
• Other information that supports the nomination (optional)
• Current photograph or headshot of hominee (high res- 600 dpi) (required)

No more than 10 pages of supplementary material may be submitted along with this nomination. Accompanying materials may include items such as letters, testimonials, news clippings, and pamphlets; however, please do not submit discs, tapes, display materials, films, scrapbooks, or books, as they will not be reviewed when judging the nominees.

All materials submitted become the property of the Immigrant Journey Awards and will not be returned, unless specifically requested. When preparing the submission, please keep the number of materials to a minimum and be sure to submit items that reproduce clearly.
