This Tryout Clinic is for future swimmers to attend and be placed on one of our club training groups. At the clinic, Barracudas coaches will observe each swimmer, gauging the skills they already know and assisting them in adding on skills that may be new. We do so through age and ability-focused drills, games, and activities in a low-key environment - we want your swimmer to see how much we all love to learn and grow through swimming, too!

At the end of the Clinic, we will let each swimmer know our recommendation of which group best fits their skills in joining our team. You can find more about our individual swim group levels on our website.

Tryout Clinics are held each year in Aug/early Sept and Mar/April. We also do individual evaluations on an as-needed basis throughout the year, but we find these Clinics are both fun and beneficial for all; kids get a better feel for the vibe of our team in this group environment!

Season Information:

The 2026 Spring and Summer Season begins March 30th and runs through July. It is divided into Spring and Summer sessions that will practice in the evenings at Oak Grove Middle School. (New this summer as Olson Middle School pool undergoes renovations).

In June & July (sometimes August) we also have a morning practice option for Age Group, Junior, & Senior swimmers at the 50-meter pool at Bloomington Family Aquatic Center.

Once you are assigned a level, we will contact you about registration options. Please note we are always happy to be flexible with start dates, etc. Swimmers can join at any time throughout the year and swim when it that works for your family and other activities - simply contact us about prorating.
