A very special thank you goes out to the students, teachers, and administrators involved in this year's Conservation Art Contest! You are an amazing group of dedicated community members.
We are excited to share the voting results after the in-person voting at the
66th Annual Conservation Celebration & Annual Meeting on
March 20th, 2026, at Gallery Coffee beginning at 5pm!
At this year's celebration, we will be hearing from local student grant author, Will Paul, of Grand Marais! Will, the DNR, and Alger Conservation District began a two-year project in 2025 focusing on expanding deer habitat through the DNR's Deer Habitat Improvement Partnership Initiative (DHIPI). The Burt School Forest is the largest school forest in the state of Michigan.
Join us and hear about his experience, talk to local partners, board members, and enjoy great food courtesy of the Alger Conservation District! REGISTER NOW
