Recently we shared the incredible news that the California Breastfeeding Coalition (CBC) was awarded a $1.2 million grant through the Californians Linking Action with Science for Prevention of Breast Cancer (CLASP-BC). This is a major opportunity to transform lactation support across California. We aren't just here to manage a grant; we want to build something that works for Californians. To do so we are in the midst of scheduling and filling out focus groups, and we need your support in doing so.
Here is the thing... More than 80% of our audience is made up of IBCLCs, Physicians, RNs, RDs and Community Advocates. We love and need your feedback but we are also asking you to activate your patients, clients and communities so that they can help us to continue to invest this grant responsibly in a way that truly reaches Californians.
Right now, we are in the foundation-building phase for two major projects:
- The LATCH Line: A new, multilingual phone line for real-time support.
- A Statewide Directory: A free, comprehensive tool to help families find culturally respectful care in their own backyards.
We are Asking Our Audience To Help Us Activate The Community
If you are a provider (IBCLC, RN, RD, Physician), you are the vital link to the families who need these resources most and we are hoping you will help us connect with them. We’ve made it easy for you to spread the word with our Partner Activation Kit. It includes:
- Ready-to-use "Cut & Paste" email/text messages to inform your community
- Social media graphic and captions for social media
- Printable flyers for your office or clinic.
To partners who are able and willing to use our partner activation kit and share this information with their audience we are excited to offer space in our newsletter to advertise your organization.
