Mentee Application Section
Omega Academy’s Adopt an Accountant program for 2026 provides tutoring, mentorship, workplace readiness, and mental health support to students aspiring to build careers in accounting. To participate, applicants must be South African citizens or permanent residents, have a combined household income of R350,000 or less per year (or up to R600,000 for students with disabilities), and be currently registered or intending to register at a public university. Recipients of SASSA grants automatically meet the financial eligibility criteria. Applicants are required to submit a certified copy of their ID or birth certificate (not older than three months), certified copies of their parent(s), legal guardian, or spouse ID, proof of household income (if applicable), an academic transcript from their current or most recent studies, and proof of residence, such as a utility bill, affidavit, or municipal account. The program offers structured tutorial support to strengthen understanding in accounting and related subjects, mentorship from experienced professionals to guide students through their studies and early career decisions, workshops and resources to prepare for internships and employment, and access to mental health support to ensure students are prepared for the demands of study and work.
