• Livestock and Poultry Order Form

Order your Weaner Pigs, Butcher Hogs, Chicken, Turkey, or Beef. Please select an animal to see specific order options.
  • Weaner Piglets will be ready to go at 8 weeks old.  A $25 deposit per piglet will be required to hold a piglet for you.  After your order is made we will send an invoice to the email address and deposit can be etransferred.

Deposit on Pre-order is non-refundable unless I cannot supply the piglet to you.  However, we realize that life happens so if for some reason you can't take your piglets shoot us a message and we may be able to move the deposit to a different batch of piglets or a different order of a butcher hog or chickens etc.

We are not unreasonable but unfortunately we have been taken advantage of one too many times.

  • Butcher Hogs will be ready to go in October 2026.  They will have a live weight somewhere in the range of 250-300lbs which means their hanging weight will be about 175-210lbs.

These hogs will be $3.50/lb hanging weight PLUS butcher cost.  Hanging weight is the weight on the animal after the head, hide, feet, blood, and internal organs have been removed.

We will be dropping them off a Tatonka Meats in Grande Prairie.  From there they will process your hog to your specific order.  We will send out the custom butcher forms in September and you will be able to return them to us and we will drop them off to the butcher along with the pigs.  We are always available to assist with filling out the forms.  We understand a lot of people have never done them before.

When your pork is ready Tatonka will contact you and you can pick up directly from them on the north side of Grande Prairie.

Depending on how you would like your Pig to be processed the butcher cost is generally $400-$500.  Of course if you want bacon and hams smoke or would like more sausages then the cost of butcher will be on the higher end.

There is a $200 deposit for butcher hogs.  After your order is made we will send an invoice to the email address and deposit can be etransferred.  The deposit is non refundable, however we realize life happens, so if you need to cancel your order prior to September 15 we can save your deposit on your account to be put toward an order in the future.  After September 15 the deposit will be forfeited as there is not much time to arrange for someone else to purchase the pig.  The deposit amount will be applied to the cost of the pig based on hanging weight.  You will be required to pay the remaining balance when the hanging weight is received from the butcher.  We will send an invoice with the hanging weight to your email.

YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR YOUR BUTCHER FEES AND THEY ARE SEPARATE FROM THE COST OF THE PIG ITSELF.

Sorry for being so blunt on that one but we have had people not realize that they are paying us for the pig and Tatonka for the butcher service.

  • Chickens are offered butchered in several different ways.  Below you will find details of the On Farm Slaughter and Butcher.  Whole chickens are  $5.00/lb.  Chickens that are parted up and vacuum sealed are $5.50/lb.  Chickens will be ready in July 2026.  Closer to the butcher date we will send out an email with the exact date of butcher so that we can arrange pickup or delivery, but we won't set the butcher date months in advance because we do want to make sure the chickens are as close to your preferred size as we can so we need to be able to adjust the butcher date as the birds grow.

    DETAILS OF ON FARM SLAUGHTER

We are proud to offer locally raised and processed poultry directly from our farm. Please note that on-farm slaughter and processing are performed under an on-farm slaughter license, which allows us to provide you with fresh and natural products right where they are raised.

On-farm slaughter offers a unique and hands-on approach to meat processing, providing farmers with direct control over the process. While it comes with its own set of challenges, understanding these can help enhance practices and ensure safety.

Purchasing uninspected meat in Alberta is illegal, however through the on-farm slaughter license program you are able to pre purchase a live animal directly from the farm and we are able to provide you with the service of slaughtering and butchering that animal. Though the process of slaughter and butcher under an on farm slaughter license is uninspected, there are rules and regulations that must be followed and we are committed to maintaining high standards to provide you with safe, high quality poultry.

Under the on-farm slaughter license the meat that you take home is for your household consumption only. We are not able to sell animals and butcher them for someone that is a reseller. An example of this would be a restaurant or grocery store.

Through the dedication and commitment to best practices, on-farm processors can provide high-quality, safe products, enriching the farm-to-table experience.

By purchasing our poultry, you acknowledge awareness of these considerations and accept these conditions. We are committed to ensuring the best possible practices for your satisfaction and safety. If you have any questions or concerns, or would like more information regarding our practices or the rules surrounding an on-farm slaughter license please do not hesitate to reach out to us.

    BUTCHER INFORMATION

We always offer chickens whole.  However, we do also offer chickens parted up and vacuum sealed.  In this case chickens must be ordered in groups of 2.

Every 2 Chickens that are parted up are packaged in the following way:

    2 packages of 2 Breasts

    1 package of 4 Legs

    1 package of 4 Thighs

    1 Packages of 8 Wings

    1 package of 2 Carcasses

When Entering your preferred weight we will try to get as close as we can to the preferred weight but we do not guarantee that the weight will match your preferred weight.  The best way to enter that is a range example: 4-6lbs.

  • Turkeys will be ready to go just before thanksgiving and will be offered at $4.00/lb.  We will do our best to get a bird close to your preferred weight but often the hens are one size and the toms are significantly bigger so there is a gap between a couple of sizes that we have available.  The best way to fill out that question is to give us a range for the size of the turkey, for example: 12-14 lbs.

  • While we continue to build our Lowline herd we currently don't have any Lowlines available for beef.  We do however have a few larger breed cattle that will be ready in the fall of 2026.  Currently we are taking requests to be contacted when they are ready to order.  Let us know if you are interested in a whole, half or quarter and we will email you when the Beef order form is live.
