• Community Audio Clips

    SUBMISSIONS
  • The Madison Public Art Project (MPAP), in partnership with Union Cab Cooperative, is starting pop-up's for our next mural entitled City Connections.

A photographer and audio engineer will be on-site and MPAP is inviting the public from across the city to come and participate in the creation of this mural project!

Inspiring the art direction for artist, Amy Zarmba, a Madison-based painter, we are asking you to reflect on the theme of connection and share what connection means to you. The recorded audio clips will compliment the mural which will bring together real life current stories from Madisonian’s.

Participating in the audio sessions and photo shoot is free. The mural will be free and accessible for all to enjoy and will be installed at Union Cab. The voices of our community add an additional layer of interaction to the mural that can be found along with the participants photos online at www.MadisonPublicArtProject.org/cityconnections.

We are looking to engage community members to inspire the creaton of this mural. Public murals can foster greater community, enhance local aesthetics, and contribute to the cultural identity of a community. Public art is a powerful catalyst for building community pride, and this will be the newest addition to the rich mural arts in the Madison landscape based off real participants. The project is indended to promote diversity, inclusion, love, family and what connects you to your home.

Thank you for contributuing. Please join the email list to stay updated on this exciting project!
