VBODA Honors Ensemble/Director Application

As per the VBODA Administrative Handbook, directors will accompany and register students when they participate in a VBODA event. If that is not possible, the director will provide an adult designee approved by the school’s principal to accompany students for the duration of the event.

In the case a designee serves in place of the director, the director is responsible for ensuring the designee receives all pertinent information related to the VBODA event. By signing below, the designee acknowledges they are required to stay with the students for the entirety of the event.

Requirements:

Superior Rating Earned at VBODA District Concert Assessment.

If more than one ensemble from a program participates in VBODA District Concert Assessment, a Superior Rating must be earned by the ensemble performing the most difficult grade level of music.

High School Orchestra and Band programs must perform a program of Grade 4 literature or higher with their most advanced ensemble to be eligible.

Middle School Orchestra and Band programs must perform a program of Grade 2 literature or higher with their most advanced ensemble to be eligible.
