    Wisconsin Women's Ministries presents Crafted By Grace. Join us at Camp Wakonda on April 10-12, to learn about God's grace as the loving, ever-present force shaping and molding our lives. Our guest speaker will be Jean Boonstra, the creator, head writer, and executive producer of the Bible-based audio series Discovery Mountain

    Retreat Location: Camp Wakonda W8368 County Hwy E Oxford, WI 53952 

     $125.00 per person

    Saturday only rate: $100 per person

    Registration includes lodging for two nights and three days, conference materials and five meals plus snacks.

    Dorm style lodging at the Hickory or Red Pine Lodge with beds and hot showers.

    On Friday, April 10, registration will begin at 5:00 p.m, followed by a light supper with the first meeting starting at 7:00 p.m. The main meetings and delicious meals will be held in the warmth of Fireside Lodge.

  • Meet Our Speaker

    Jean Boonstra

    Jean is the creator, head writer, and executive producer of the Bible-based audio series Discovery Mountain. An avid storyteller, Jean has authored two interactive Discovery Mountain adventure books and the Sarah and Heather books in the Adventist Girl series, which bring Adventist history to life through the eyes of young girls.

    Jean earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in History and Political Science. While attending university in Victori, B.C., Canada, she attended a series of evangelistic meetings and fell in love with Jesus. Since that time, she and her husband, Shawn, have followed God wherever He leads.

    In 2026, Jean completed her Master of Arts in Pastoral Ministry from Andrew’s University. As a pastor’s wife and mother of daughters, Jean is deeply committed to encouraging women. She believes every woman is uniquely equipped and called by God for a purpose. Jean and Shawn make their home in Maryland, where they continue to follow God’s leading in life and ministry.
