Required Agreements

Please confirm the following to complete your entry.
I am 21 years of age or older
The mead was homemade by me
I will provide two 12–16 oz bottles per entryBottles will be plain with no labels or identifying marksBottles will be securely sealed with cap or corkBottles will not be covered in wax or difficult decorations
Mead is safe to consumeBottles are in good condition and suitable for judging
I understand entries will not be returned
I understand that I must be present at the festival to participate in the Mead-Off and that I am required to purchase a valid festival ticket. Entry into the Mead-Off does not include festival admission.
I understand that all mead entries will be evaluated by qualified judges using their sensory and technical assessment, and that all judging decisions are final. By entering this competition, I agree to accept the judges’ decisions and results without dispute.
I understand that my entry is not complete until the $10 entry fee per mead is paid.

I understand that all mead entries must be delivered in person to an approved drop-off location. The Great Northern Viking Festival will not accept or be responsible for any entries that are shipped or mailed
I have read and agree to the Mead-Off rules, deadlines, and entry requirements.
I understand that my mead entry will be handled, evaluated, and consumed by judges and/or designated festival staff for the purpose of judging this competition. I confirm that the mead was produced by me in a safe, sanitary manner, is suitable for human consumption, and contains no harmful or illegal substances.I voluntarily assume all responsibility for my entry and agree to release, indemnify, and hold harmless the Great Northern Viking Festival, Northern Woman Productions, its staff, volunteers, judges, sponsors, and affiliates from any and all claims, liabilities, damages, losses, or injuries arising from the handling, judging, or consumption of my mead.I understand that entries may be disqualified if they do not follow the rules, labeling instructions, or safety requirements.
