The Starting Line: Serious Thinking for Serious Ideas is an in-person workshop for people with a business idea, or those already in motion, who want to think more intentionally about what they’re building.
We’ll slow things down to build a skeletal business model, clarify the product or service, and identify realistic revenue streams. This workshop is ideal for those considering Black Business Matters incubator, preparing for Pitch Black, or deciding their smartest next step.
Who This Is For
Emerging
You have a business idea, but haven’t thoroughly thought through the model yet. This workshop helps you slow down, clarify the opportunity, and understand what it would take to move forward with intention.
Ready to Refine
You’ve already started a business or taken meaningful steps, but need more clarity around the model, revenue streams, or overall direction. This session creates space to reassess and strengthen the foundation.
At a Decision Point
You’re weighing what comes next, whether that’s continuing to build, refining your concept, applying to the Black Business Matters incubator, preparing for Pitch Black or another pitch opportunity, or deciding to pause. This workshop helps you make that decision with clearer thinking and fewer assumptions.
Why Sunday?
Because good thinking takes time, a Sunday afternoon creates space for unrushed reflection, especially for side-preneurs balancing ideas, work, and life.
