Are you looking to have both a fun and a productive summer? Do you like storytelling and filmmaking? Do you want to strengthen your resume while gaining community service hours? Well, you are in the right place!
The LTV Summer Internship will run from the week of June 22nd to the week of July 27th. Interns will have the opportunity to receive community service hours while also getting hands-on experience in the fields of filming, editing, and directing. Interns will work on two shows housed within the intern program; Hands of the Hamptons is a show covering local businesses and non-profits and The Weekly Wave is a show covering upcoming events in the community for teens and young adults. Interns who demonstrate drive and responsibility will additionally have the chance to work as a Production Assistant on larger scale projects at LTV.
For Hands of the Hamptons, interns will research subjects and film interviews. For The Weekly Wave, interns are expected to draft at least one script, film at least one local event, and edit at least one episode throughout the course of the program either alone or with a team. Interns will also be required to create an individual presentation about a piece of television that serves as a case study for an aspect of the industry. Failure to complete these requirements by their deadlines will hinder an intern’s ability to succeed in this program. Interns are expected to dedicate 6 hours in person and an additional 2-3 hours remotely researching and editing per week.
