  • LODGING-ONLY RELEASE & LIABILITY WAIVER (PLEASE READ CAREFULLY)

    Plains Baptist Camp & Retreat Center / Plains Baptist Assembly (“PBA”) is a Christian ministry facility. This waiver applies to groups staying overnight in cabins/lodging and using general camp facilities (restrooms, sidewalks, roads/parking, common areas). It does not include organized camp activities led by PBA staff unless separately scheduled.

    1) Camp Rules & Responsibility
    I agree to follow posted camp rules and staff direction. I will use facilities safely and supervise minors in my care.

    2) Assumption of Risk
    I understand camp property includes inherent risks including uneven terrain, stairs/bunk beds, weather hazards, insects/wildlife, slips/trips/falls, and general facility risks. I voluntarily assume all risks of injury, illness, death, or property loss while on PBA property.

    3) Release of Liability
    In consideration for being allowed on PBA property, I release and hold harmless PBA, its officers, employees, volunteers, agents, and affiliates from any and all claims or liability arising from my presence on the property, including claims based on negligence, to the fullest extent permitted by Texas law.

    4) Medical Authorization
    If I am injured or become ill and cannot promptly contact my emergency contact, I authorize PBA staff to seek reasonable medical care on my behalf. I understand I am responsible for all related costs.

    5) Personal Property
    I understand PBA is not responsible for loss, theft, or damage to my personal property.

    6) Prohibited Items & Conduct
    I agree to comply with camp standards, including no alcohol, no smoking/vaping, no illegal drugs, and no firearms/weapons on camp property. PBA may remove guests for unsafe or disruptive behavior.

I give permission for my child to be on the property of Plains Baptist Camp & Retreat Center / Plains Baptist Assembly (“PBA”) for an overnight stay and to use camp lodging and general facilities. I have read and agree to the Lodging-Only Release & Liability Waiver, and I sign it on behalf of myself and the minor to the fullest extent permitted by Texas law.
