I understand that getting a puppy requires experience with a young animal, round-the-clock commitment, and regular puppy care, socialization, and training. I must prepare for teething/chewing, lack of sleep, and giving lots of my time.
I understand that German Shepherds are high-drive, intelligent working dogs that require significant daily physical exercise (1-2 hours) and mental stimulation to prevent destructive behavior. They are prone to separation anxiety and territorial aggression. Consistent, lifelong training is essential to manage their sensitivity and potential fear-based, reactive behavior.
I understand that I assume the full responsibility for the welfare of this GSD from the date of adoption.
I understand that I will need to put in the work (classes, lessons, training) especially the first two years of the puppies life to teach them to be the partner and trusted family member I am seeking!
I understand that if I fail to seek training and proper raising, that the puppy may become more than I anticipated. Working Line GSDs need a leader to take charge, otherwise they will!
I understand that if I do put in the work, I can have the best dog!
