  • The Sunflower Festival is Gorman Heritage Farm's largest fundraiser of the year to support our non-profit educational working farm.  Close to 7,000 visitors attend to celebrate all things Fall during this two-day festival!   

     Our goal is to provide a variety of delicious food options, as well as unique handmade arts and crafts offerings.

    Saturday, October 3th & Sunday, October 4th, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM

  • Gorman Heritage Farm is a 501(c)3 working farm. Any additional proceeds help support the education based programs provided on the farm throughout the year. Would you consider offering a “Sunflower Special”, which would be a signature item where $1 per item sold would benefit the farm?*
  • Gorman Heritage Farm raises broiler chickens on the farm (generally 4-6 lbs each, whole chickens). Are you interested in receiving more information on purchasing our chickens to be served from your Food Truck during the festival?*

    Registration Deadline: Friday, August 28, 2026 at 5:00 PM.  Registration may close early if capacity is reached prior to August 28, 2026.

    Food Truck Notifications: We do our best to notify you as soon as we are able.  All participants will be notified of their status no later than Tuesday, September 1, 2026.  You wll be notified of your status sooner than this date if we reach capacity prior to September 1, 2026.   Completing the application and/or past participation do not guarantee acceptance. Notification of your status via email from a GHF Representative is your confirmation.

    Food Truck Set Up: In place by 8:15 AM both days. If you are not on the festival grounds and in place by 8:15 AM, you may be denied access to the festival due to our Admissions Tent being placed along the drive.

    Break Down: Sunday, October 4th at 5:00 PM and NOT before. Must be completed by 6:00 PM.

    Paperwork: All required paperwork must be submitted before the 2026 festival (i.e., Health Department Certificate, statement of liability). 

    Media Release/Consent: Participating vendors release all rights and claims in connection with photo(s)/videotape in wihch they appear, for use by Gorman Heritage Farm and all sponsors.  It is understood that the photo(s)/videotape, if used, will be for the promotional purposes of assiting future Gorman Heritage Farm events, and waive any right to inspect or approve the finished photos and/or advertising copy. 

    Eco-Friendly: Vendors are strongly encouraged to support environmentally friendly practices: 

    • Plastic bags to a minimum and Styrofoam is prohibited.
    • Compostable or recyclable serving containers and paper napkins are preferred.
    • Avoid condiments in packets and use squeezable bottles or ‘pumps’.
    • We strongly encourage sourcing supplies and food LOCALLY, whenever possible.
    • Recycling of empty cardboard boxes is strongly encouraged.  Please break down cardboard boxes and dispose of in the recycling dumspter located onsite.

    Additional Rules and Regulations

    The Sunflower Festival is a rain or shine event and vendors are required to participate all day, both days. 

    Each vendor is responsible for understanding and complying with all local, state, and federal regulations, including licenses for selling your type of product/s and collection of any applicable taxes.

    Vendors are responsible for health department approved flooring if applicable.

    Drug paraphernalia, tobacco products and weapons are prohibited.

    Vendors must provide their own monetary change for customer transactions.

    GHF representatives reserve the right to inspect truck/trailer to ensure a safe environment is provided for festival guests.

    Gorman Heritage Farm believes in creating a fun, festive environment for all guests attending the Sunflower Festival and we promise to always work hard towards that end, with patience, understanding, and flexibility.  We ask that all of our vendors contribute to this effort by understanding and agreeing to the following:

    • To be courteous and cooperative leading up to and throughout the festival weekend and most importantly, have fun!
    • To not bring or sell alcohol
    • To arrive and be inside festival gates by 8:15 AM both days.  If you arrive late and the Admissions Tent is in place, you will be denied access to the festival for that day.  
    • To agree to a fire inspection prior to the start of the festival (inspection will be arranged with the Fire Department by GHF staff). 
    • To maintain a clean area around your truck.  Gorman Heritage Farm will have trash and recycling receptacles throughout the festival, it is advised that you also bring one for any waste generated in the immediate area of your truck and/or during food preparation. 
    • To be respectful of the spaces around you and remain in your assigned area, unless otherwise coordinated with event staff. 
    • To agree to provide the donation of 10% from all sales throughout the festival weekend.  A Gorman Heritage Farm representative will talk with you before you leave to report the amount due and make arrangements for payment.

    Gorman Heritage Farm believes in creating a fun, festive environment for all guests to the Sunflower Festival and we promise to always work hard towards that end, with patience, understanding, and flexibility.  

    Application Consideration: Vendors are considered with the intention that guests can shop unique, handmade merchandise.  Vendors who are participating for marketing or promotional purposes are invited to participate as a sponsor of the festival. Sponsors may be located in an area different from the craft vendors.   

    Location for Vendor Booths: A majority of the booth locations are on grassy, unpaved areas of the farm including the Gorman Heritage Farm Parking Lot, along pathway leading to the West Lawn, and on the West Lawn (located a short distance from the parking lot).  Please be prepared to transport your merchandise by bringing your own dollies and/or carts.  Vendor booth location is selected to provide for a variety of crafts throughout and a requested location cannot be guaranteed.

    Booth Set up:  Saturday, October 3rd, starting at 7:30 AM.  One vehicle per vendor may pull onto the GHF lot to unload at a time.  All cars must be moved from the Gorman Heritage Farm property to one of the festival parking lots as soon as car is unloaded and prior to booth setup, no later than 8:15 AM.  

    Booth Break Down: Sunday, October 4th at 5:00 PM and NOT before. Must be completed by 6:00 PM.

    Paperwork: To be considered, a complete application and payment-in-full is required.  Payment will be returned if application is not accepted.

    Eco-Friendly: Plastic bags to a minimum and Styrofoam is prohibited.  Recycling of broken down cardboard boxes is encouraged, a recylcing dumpster is available onsite. 

     Additional Rules and Regulations

    The Sunflower Festival is a rain or shine event and vendors are required to participate all day, both days.  If you have craft items that cannot be displayed in the event of rain, please keep this is mind when completing the application.  Attendance both days is required. 

    Tables, chairs and tent are not provided.  It is suggested vendors bring own tents to help provide shelter and to bring your own tables and chairs.  Tents must be 10' x 10'.  Larger tents are not permitted unless two 10' x 10' spots are reserved.  Spots are either 10' x 10' or 10' x 20'. 

    Each vendor is responsible for understanding and complying with all local, state, and federal regulations, including licenses for selling your type of product/s and collection of any applicable taxes.

    You must secure a proper health permit if required. Begin this process no later than 30-days before the event.

    Vendors are responsible for health department approved flooring if applicable.

    No cooking is permitted by vendors in the Marketplace areas without prior approval from GHF representatives. 

    Drug paraphernalia, tobacco products and weapons are prohibited.

    Vendors must provide their own monetary change for customer transactions.

    Access to electricity is not available.
