Contributed Papers

Fifteen (15) minute presentations on any topic of general interest in mathematics or related areas are encouraged for the Contributed Paper Sessions on Friday afternoon and Saturday morning. Reports on projects, research announcements, or anything you believe would be of interest to those in attendance are welcome.
Session chairs introduce speakers, invite questions, and are mindful of the talk schedule.

Presentation information

Abstracts should be between 25 and 75 words in length and should employ proper English grammar and spelling. One speaker per session is greatly preferred, but two speakers in one session can be accommodated if necessary. Please use only plain text in your title and abstract as the submission system cannot process LaTeX or other markup language.

Equipment Availability

Each presentation room will have a PC, a computer projector, and laptop connections. Presenters can either plug their laptops into the overhead projection system or plug a flash drive into the resident computer. Internet access will be provided. Speakers with specific questions about technology availability at the institution should contact Dr. Axel Brandt, abrandt@jcu.edu.

Ohio MAA Section NExT

NExT stands for “New Experiences in Teaching”, and our group provides information and support to new mathematics faculty in the Ohio Section of the MAA. All full-time faculty members who are in their first five years of full-time college teaching in Ohio are eligible to attend the Ohio NExT meeting. If you know of other faculty in your department that might benefit from our meeting, please pass along their names and e-mail addresses to Dr. Elizabeth Haynes-Wiget (elizabeth_haynes-wiget@wilmington.edu).

The Ohio NExT program is free to Ohio NExT fellows. Ohio NExT is open to anyone in the Ohio Section who is in his/her first five years of teaching in Ohio. If this applies to you, please consider joining us this fall or next spring. Contact Dr. Elizabeth Haynes-Wiget (elizabeth_haynes-wiget@wilmington.edu) for membership information and details.
