1. Acknowledgment of Risks
I acknowledge that firearms training, including classroom and live-fire range instruction, involves inherent risks such as accidental discharge, injury, equipment malfunction, and exposure to loudnoises. I voluntarily assume all risks associated with training conducted by First Step Shooting L.L.C.
2. Certification of Legal Eligibility (California)
I certify I am legally permitted to possess firearms under federal and California law. I am not under the influence of impairing substances and am physically and mentally capable of safely participating. I understand CCW course completion does not guarantee permit approval.
3. Safety Rules & Compliance
I agree to follow all instructions and safety rules. Failure to comply may result in removal without refund.
4. Release of Liability
I release First Step Shooting L.L.C., its owners, instructors, employees, volunteers, and agents from any claims related to injury, death, or property damage arising from my participation, except as limited by California law regarding gross negligence or willful misconduct.
5. Indemnification
I agree to indemnify the Released Parties against liabilities or costs resulting from my actions during training.
6. Medical Treatment Authorization
I authorize staff to obtain emergency medical treatment if needed and accept responsibility for associated costs.
7. Equipment Responsibility
I certify my equipment is safe. Rented equipment will be returned in proper condition.
8. Media Release (Optional)
I n give / n do not give permission for my likeness to be used for training or promotional purposes.
9. Binding Effect
I understand this waiver is legally binding under California law. I sign voluntarily.
