INFORMATION

NSMA is currently recruiting portrait and nude figure models for our academic programs and community open studio sessions! We hold instructed classes in both portait and figure, as well as portrait and figure open studios. Please note that the majority of our modeling needs are for multi-week long poses where artists develop a drawing or painting over the course of a month or two – this means usually means a commitment for 4-6 sessions. We also have occasional needs for one-session poses.

Our standard pay is $100 per session. We allow for a model tip jar during open studio sessions, and the final session of an instructed class.

Note that the majority of our near-term modeling needs are night classes 5:30–8:30 on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday evenings, as well as Sunday afternoons (usually 2–5PM). Over time we will have more opportunities beyond these time periods.

Please attach between 1 and 5 photos of yourself – these are kept completely confidential to NSMA staff for our secure internal model database, and never shared or shown to anyone else. Photos can be headshots, casual photos, full figures (clothed or nude), etc.*
