  • Unsure what your child should focus on for academics? Here are suggestions from The Laurel School Principal. If your child is entering the following grades:

     Junior and Senior Kindergarten  Grades 1 to 5
    • Phonics
    • Printing
    • Math
    • Reading
    • Reading & Comprehension
    • Math
    • Phonics
    • Printing or Cursive
    • Spelling & Vocabulary

     Please select the subjects you would like your child to focus on during Individualized Academics (a.m. and full-day sessions).

    A maximum of 3 subjects to be covered.

  • Your child has the option to bring food from home or to take part in our Catered Food Program. This option is easy for parents as food is delivered to the school and served fresh daily from our organic nutritious partner, Real Food for Real Kids (see sample menu here). Real Food for Real Kids also provides alternatives such as vegetarian, halal, etc and more for children with allergies.

    The additional cost of the catered food program is as followed:

    • 2 snacks & a lunch (full-day program) = $18.00/day
    • 1 lunch = $10.00/day
    • 1 snack = $4.00/day
    • 2 snacks = $8.00/day

    Students are charged for the number of days registered for (no deductions or refunds for missed days due to illness, vacation or other).

  • Walking Trip Permission

  • From time to time, students may go on a walking trip to neighbouring areas around the school. Students will be taken by the educator safely off of school property to continue learning. 

    The staff of The Laurel School will take all reasonable steps to ensure students safety, but parents are asked to acknowledge that when students leave school property, there are additional risks that may be beyond the control of the staff of The Laurel School.

    By signing this form, the parent agrees to the above statement and further acknowledges that The Laurel School, its staff and representatives are not responsible or liable for any risk, loss or damages incurred on, or as a result, of the walking trip.
