The Karen Sbrollini Heilman Scholarship honors Karen’s legacy as a dedicated teacher, coach, and AVID instructor who inspired countless Chatham County students toward college success. This prestigious award celebrates academic excellence, community involvement, and Karen’s passion for Service Above Self, supporting Chatham County Schools seniors in pursuing higher education.

Eligibility Criteria:

Applicants must:
- Students must be enrolled at Northwood, Seaforth, or Chatham Central High School. Students from other schools should contact their nearest Rotary Club. Chatham Central is included because Karen, a dedicated AVID teacher, worked at this school.
- Be in good academic standing.
- Be accepted into a higher education program for the 2026-27 academic year.
- Exhibit leadership through a strong work ethic and positive attitude.
- Demonstrate commitment to community service.
Scholarship Award:
- Up to $2,000 for a 4-Year University.
- Up to $500 for Community College.
Funds will be paid directly to the college or university registrar and may be used for tuition, required fees, textbooks, or room and board.

Deadline: March 31, 2026 by 10 PM ET

Instructions:
- Fill out the online application form completely. Please review the application thoroughly and gather all your materials, as you cannot save this form and complete it at a later date.
- Submit a copy of your acceptance letter or email from the college or university.
- Upload your academic resume.
- Provide one letter of recommendation from someone who is not a relative.
- Submit a copy of your high school transcript.
- Upload the signed Student Acceptance & Guardian Permission Form.
