"Make It Make Sense?!"
  • "Make It Make Sense?!"

a quarterly fireside chat with Sandy Ho, Executive Director and legal experts from the disability rights field.
  • Over the past several months many of us have uttered this phrase "make it make sense?!" Join Sandy Ho, Executive Director of the Disability & Philanthropy Forum, and legal experts as we aim to do just that.

In this quarterly series, we'll explore four key areas of our constitutional and civil rights, and hear from disability rights practitioners and thought leaders on:

    • Why is it important that all funders understand the philanthropic sector has a role in protecting disability rights?
    • How do attacks to constitutional and civil rights infringe, and undermine disability rights?
    • What can foundations and the philanthropic sector do now to strengthen disability rights enforcement?

We thank the Autistic Self Advocacy Network for providing a plain language summary of each fireside chat, the Disability & Philanthropy Forum will make these summaries available to registered attendees. This series will focus on U.S. based disability rights only.

Open to philanthropic leaders including those with executive and senior level roles are welcomed to register.

  • Register for the next fireside chat: Tuesday May 12th @ 2:30pm ET

Sandy Ho will be in conversation with Marlene Sallo, Executive Director of National Disability Rights Network. We'll be discussing the intersections of voting and disability rights. Why is mail in voting so important to disabled communities? How can funders supporting civic engagement, and democratic participation ensure all civic engagement is accessible? Join us for this important conversation and let's make it make sense, together!
