  • The Butterfly Effect

Unifying stories across generations, land, & time.
    See Butterfly Effect Mission Statement

Artists of all backgrounds are invited to share personal or communal stories of immigration and movement. Through 2026, the BEP will consist of traveling visual art exhibits/immersive galleries, performances, show and tells, and workshops. Unifying themes of change, connection, and community will layer individual narratives into a portrait of global migration.

The BEP seeks to illuminate universal threads of intention, survival, and evolution, revealing the connection of stories shared by cultures and communities all over the world (including those who have needed to move due to environmental factors or loss of land). Beneath cultural and racial differences, the same longing for love, growth, and opportunity drives humanity to new places.

We respect your story and honor your privacy.
Some stories may be painful to recount. We will treat your art and memories with reverance, and not a product. if you prefer, you may stay anonymous, and it will not affect our consideration for your artwork and story.
