- Massachusetts Bicycle Law Acknowledgment I understand and agree that, under Massachusetts law:
  - If I’m 16 years old or younger, I must wear a helmet that meets U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission standards whenever I ride. *All renters must wear a helmet. Provided at no charge.
  - Bicycles have the right to use public roads and bikeways and must obey all traffic signals, signs, and laws.
  - I may ride two abreast where safe and may control a travel lane to avoid hazards.
  - I must ride with at least one hand on the handlebars at all times.
  - If riding after dark, my bike must be equipped with a white front light, red taillight AND reflector, and pedal/ankle reflectors visible at night.
  - I must notify police of any accident involving personal injury or property damage over $100.
  I acknowledge and agree to follow Massachusetts bicycle laws. Rights and Responsibilities:
  - Signal turns with either hand (if safe).
  - Yield to pedestrians and give audible warnings when passing.
  - Ride with the flow of traffic and obey stop signals.

- To the fullest extent permitted under Massachusetts law, I release and hold harmless Salem Cycle, Inc., d/b/a Marblehead Cycle, its owners, officers, employees, agents, and contractors from any liability arising from use of rental equipment, except in cases of gross negligence or willful misconduct.

- Governing Law & Venue
- This agreement is governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. Venue for any dispute shall be exclusively in Essex County, Massachusetts. Nothing herein supersedes any mandatory provisions of Massachusetts law.

- I understand that I am not a U.S. resident and agree that this rental agreement remains governed by Massachusetts law and subject to exclusive jurisdiction in Essex County, Massachusetts, regardless of my country of residence. I acknowledge that I am personally responsible for compliance with U.S. and Massachusetts laws while operating the rental equipment.
