2026 NADSA National Conference

The NADSA Conference Committee is seeking proposals for presentations in the following Learning Tracks:
- Leadership and Workforce Development
- Center Operations & Management
- Marketing, Outreach, and Growth
- Person-Centered Programming & Engagement
- Policy, Advocacy, and Community Partnerships
- Dementia, Alzheimer’s, and Chronic Condition Care
- Caregiver Support, Respite, and Family Engagement
- Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (IDD) and Inclusive Programming
All proposals must be submitted electronically
by March 20, 2025.
The average session length is 60 minutes, and speakers are asked to allow time for Q&A.
Note: Some will be 90 minutes length.
Suggested Topics (not limited to the examples below)
1. Leadership and Workforce Development
Focus: Building strong leaders and teams across Adult Day Centers.
Key Topics:
- Leadership skills for supervisors, directors, and emerging leaders
- Staff development, coaching, and performance management
- Building healthy workplace culture and preventing burnout
- Workforce recruitment, retention, and career pathways
- Leading change and navigating organizational transitions
2. Center Operations & Management
Focus: Strengthening day-to-day operations and long-term sustainability.
Key Topics:
- Staffing models, scheduling, and operational workflows
- Financial management and budgeting
- Compliance, licensing, and risk management
- Leveraging technology for operations and documentation
- Nutrition, transportation, and facility management
- PACE, social model, and medical model operations and integration
- Using AI to strengthen center operations, documentation, and workflows
3. Marketing, Outreach, and Growth
Focus: Increasing visibility, enrollment, and financial stability.
Key Topics:
- Marketing strategies and community outreach
- Building referral pipelines and partnerships
- Branding, messaging, and storytelling
- Website and social media strategies
- Grants, sponsorships, and diversified revenue.
- Using AI to improve Marketing, Outreach, and Enrollment
4. Person-Centered Programming & Engagement
Focus: Creating meaningful, inclusive, and engaging experiences for participants.

- Innovative programming ideas
- Arts, music, movement, and therapeutic activities
- Culturally responsive programming
- Social connection and community integration
- Adapting programs for diverse needs and interests
- Intergenerational Programs
5. Policy, Advocacy, and Community Partnerships
Focus: Strengthening relationships with policymakers and community partners.

- State and local advocacy strategies
- Working with legislators and regulators
- Data and research to support policy change
- Building coalitions and cross-sector partnerships
- Funding and policy opportunities that impact Adult Day Services
6. Dementia, Alzheimer’s, and Chronic Condition Care
Focus: Improving care models and outcomes for participants with complex needs.
Key Topics:
- Dementia-capable programming and best practices
- Supporting individuals with Alzheimer’s and related dementias
- Managing chronic conditions such as diabetes and Parkinson’s
- Behavioral supports and non-pharmacological approaches
- Reducing hospitalizations and improving care coordination
7. Caregiver Education and Support Groups
Focus: Strengthening support for family caregivers and care partners.
Key Topics:
- Family engagement strategies
- Respite program models
- Community partnerships to support caregivers
- Funding streams for caregiver services
8. Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (IDD) and Inclusive Programming
Focus: Supporting adults with IDD through inclusive Adult Day Services.
Key Topics:
- Program models for adults with IDD Inclusive and integrated service delivery
- Supporting transitions across the lifespan
- Person-centered supports for adults with IDD
- Funding and policy considerations for IDD services
All presenters must disclose any potential conflicts of interest or commercial support in writing. All sessions must be educational in nature and may not serve as sales presentations for products or services.

Proposals received after March 20, 2026 will be considered on a space-available basis. The NADSA Conference Task Force will review all proposals based on quality, originality, and relevance to Adult Day Services. Applicants will be notified of acceptance decisions by May 1, 2026.
Final presentation materials must be submitted in PDF format by August 1, 2026 for inclusion in the conference app. Presenters are responsible for bringing their own laptop and any handouts. If your laptop does not have an HDMI port, please bring the appropriate adapter.
