  • G.E.T. Protocol

    Gigi's Enhanced Transport Protocol
  • The Gigi’s Enriched Transport (GET) Protocol represents the next evolution of Gigi’s evidence-based approach to canine welfare in transport. Developed through years of operational experience, data collection, and applied research, this protocol establishes tiered best practices that can be adapted to a variety of shelter and rescue operations.

The GET framework is built on the understanding that stress in transported dogs is influenced by a complex interaction of physical and environmental factors—including noise, temperature, space, and duration. Each component of the protocol addresses these variables through structured, welfare-focused guidance that emphasizes achievable improvement rather than rigid compliance.

The purpose of the G.E.T. Protocol is to ensure the safe, comfortable, and calm transport of all dogs using evidence-based enrichment, environmental supports, and behavioral support.
