The pieces will be hung on both sides of wire display panels, therefore the backs of some pieces may be visible. Please follow these guidelines to ensure the professional & cohesive appearance of the show.
All pieces must have a wire on the back - no sawtooth hooks. No work that is only matted; pieces must be framed or on canvas. If you are submitting stained glass, quilts, or other non-framed pieces, they must be able to be hung on the wire panels. Canvas artwork does not need a frame or paper backing, but should be painted on the sides.
Place hooks approximately 1/3 of the way down from the top of the frame. The wire should pull taut to about 1 inch below the top of the frame.
If you are using a metal frame, make sure the backing is clean. If you are using a frame that does not come with a clean back, please cover it with a paper backing. Paper bags or brown shopping paper work well. Trim to slightly less than the outside dimensions of the frame. Paper can be secured with glue or double-sided tape.

All frames must be clean and secure. Glass should not be cracked or popping out. The Community Art Show organizers reserve the right to not display artwork that is in poor condition.
Please sign your art and ensure that it is properly labeled with your name and the name of the piece when you drop it off.
Arts Guild of Vermilion and Ritter Public Library will take care in handling your work, but are not responsible for damaged or stolen pieces.
