    The Friends of the Oakland Park Library are a community of residents, readers, and advocates. We support and celebrate our Library as a vital cultural and educational cornerstone within our City. Through outreach and engagement, we highlight the services, programs, and initiatives that enrich the lives of individuals and families across Oakland Park. We also organize fundraising efforts to expand opportunities beyond the library’s regular budget, helping provide enhanced programming, learning resources, and community experiences for all ages. We believe libraries are more than buildings with books; they are spaces where curiosity grows, connections form, and lifelong learning begins. In keeping with our mission, we are proud to introduce our first annual scholarship for graduating seniors who reside in the City of Oakland Park. This scholarship reflects our commitment to education, civic engagement, and investing in the future leaders of our community. We look forward to reviewing your application and learning more about your goals, experiences, and connection to our community. This scholarship is for $1,000.00. This application will close on March 17th, 2026 11:59pm EST. Finalists will be notified via email.
