• The David Walsh Masterclass

    Nebula Performances is proud to welcome back longtime friend and supporter David Walsh for an intensive workshop series! Join us for an intensive staging workshop to enrich your stage presence and ability to understand the deep inner-workings of opera, or sharpen your audition skills in our Audition Masterclass!

  • Nebula is pleased to provide use of one of our talented pianists for the workshops included in your fee, however if you would like to bring your own pianist, we are happy to offer a small discount. 

    When selecting your workshop time length, please indicate whether you will be using a Nebula pianist or bringing your own. 

  • All participants of the Audition Masterclass will be expected to have two audition-ready pieces to work with. These pieces can be Arias, Art Song, or Lieder, but must be fully memorized. 

  • For the staging workshop, participants are invited to bring 1-2 ready-to-stage arias or duets, which Mr. Walsh will choose between. Pieces must be fully memorized, and it is recommended that participants review their translations in preparation for the workshop)

    If a duet is selected to stage, it is expected that the singer will organize who will sing the additional role. If your scene with multiple roles is selected, you will be contacted to provide the names of the additional singers you will be bringing to verify their participation. *In the case of multiple singers working on a single excerpt, only one fee is required.*

  • Nebula is pleased to offer David Walsh's lecture "Opera Rocks!" discussing the genius of opera and its ongoing relavence and contribution to artistry. 

     

    In addition to the lecture, Mr. Walsh will be answering any and all of your questions about opera, the industry, musicality, and more!
