INSURANCE
Hirers representing a club/association or organisation must hold Public Liability Insurance of $20 million per occurrence. Groups providing paid or voluntary instruction or coaching must also hold appropriate Professional Indemnity Insurance. Proof of insurance must be provided with the application.
DISCLAIMER
The Shire of Harvey accepts no responsibility for injury, loss or damage to persons or property arising from use of the facilities, except where caused by the Shire’s unlawful or negligent acts.
FEES AND PAYMENT
Full payment is required prior to use unless otherwise arranged.
Duty Manager fees may apply outside normal hours.
Fee payment allows use of the court during confirmed booking times only. Any additional time used will be charged accordingly.
Shire of Harvey approval must be provided if you wish to charge any entrance fees for your event.
CANCELLATIONS
If a booking needs to be cancelled by LLC, every effort will be made to give the hirer as much notice as possible. Where possible an alternative facility will be offered. If a a suitable alternative facility cannot be provided, a refund or credit will be issued.
If a booking is cancelled by the hirer after it has been confirmed by LLC, refunds will not be issued.
BOOKINGS
All bookings must be submitted on the official application form.
Booking times must be strictly adhered to, including setup and pack-down time. Additional use may be charged and affect future bookings.
Hirers must have their booking confirmed before accessing the courts
SUB LETTING
Seasonal hire does not give the hirer the authority to sub-let or permit any other group, person, or persons to occupy or
use a court. This includes representative sides, peak bodies and state associations.
SUPERVISION
Hirers are responsible for the supervision and conduct of their group at all times.
Children’s groups must be supervised by responsible adults.
Mixed-gender groups must have both male and female supervisors.
Supervisors must accompany children in all areas, including change rooms.
WORKING WITH CHILDREN CHECK
All persons engaged in child-related work must hold a valid Working With Children Check or qualify for an exemption. Compliance is the responsibility of the hirer.
CONDITIONS OF FACILITY AND EQUIPMENT
Hirers must leave facilities clean and undamaged. All rubbish must be removed. No nails, hooks, staples or fixings may be used. Additional cleaning or damage may incur charges and/or affect future bookings.
ELECTRICAL EQUIPMENT
Electrical equipment may only be brought onsite if accompanied by certification of compliance with AS3760.
SMOKING
The Centre is a smoke-free facility.
FOOD AND BEVERAGE
Food and drink are permitted only in designated servery areas.
No food or drink is allowed on playing surfaces (sealed water bottles permitted).
Any hirer preparing or supplying food must provide evidence of registration under the Food Act 2008 (WA).
KEYS / SECURITY
Approved regular users may be issued keys and security codes.
Failure to secure the building or unauthorised access will result in security call-out fees charged to the hirer.
STORAGE OF EQUIPMENT
Clubs storing equipment onsite do so at their own risk and are advised to insure their property. All fridges must be left unlocked.
PROVISION OF TABLES AND CHAIRS
Tables and chairs are limited and must be requested at booking. Additional furniture is the hirer’s responsibility
DAMAGE
Damage or breakage caused by misuse is the hirer’s responsibility and must be reported to Centre staff
FOOTWEAR
Only appropriate non-marking footwear is permitted in sports halls.
CONSUMPTION OF ALCOHOL ON PREMISES
Alcohol is prohibited unless approved in writing by the Centre Manager and compliant with the Liquor Control Act 1988.
Alcohol is never permitted in aquatic areas. Liquor licences must be supplied if alcohol is sold.
BEHAVIOR
The Manager or Duty Officer may remove individuals or groups for inappropriate behaviour. Future bookings may be cancelled and penalties applied.
MEDICAL / FIRST AID
Participants should seek medical advice before undertaking activities.
First aid assistance is available through Centre staff. Emergency services will be contacted if required.
Hirers must carry participant medical information and are responsible for associated costs.
EMERGENCY PROCEDURES
