    Silver Oak Parent Teacher Organization (PTO) is offering Primary Programmers 2026 Workshop from March 17 to May 26th to all students in grades 4, 5, and 6. Classes will be held Tuesdays from 7:15a.m. to 8:05a.m. Every week except school holidays. The room information will be provided before classes begin.
  • Primary Programmers will be teaching the students Scratch programming.

    Scratch is the world’s largest coding community for children and a coding language with a simple visual interface that allows young people to create digital stories, games, and animations. Scratch promotes computational thinking and problem solving skills; creative teaching and learning; self-expression and collaboration; and equity in computing.

    Registration opens on Monday March 9, 2026 at 5:00p.m. and closes on Sunday, March 15th at 5:00p.m. (or earlier if the 24 limit is reached).

    Dates and Times: Tuesdays, March 17, 2026 to May 26, 2026 from 7:15a.m. to 8:05a.m. Classes will meet weekly, with the exception of school holidays and teacher in-service days. Room assignments will be emailed to parents before classes begin.

    Suggested Donation: $20 (members)/ $25 (non-members) per student

    Limit: 24 students (Once this limit is reached, you may select the waitlist option.)
