- The student must be currently enrolled in school:
7th or 8th grade for Junior High School
7th - 10th grade for Junior Varsity
9th - 12th grade for Varsity
- The student must be in good academic standing at the institution (Must not be on academic probation).
When is the earliest I can submit my eligibility documents?
Verification of Eligibility can be provided starting February 16th. We will not accept or verify any documents that are generated before February 16th.
When is the deadline to submit eligibility documents?
All documents must be submitted by March 20 at 11:59 PM.
What happens if I do not submit my proof of eligibility?
If you do not provide proof of your eligibility by March 16th, you will not be eligible to compete and will be withdrawn from the championship.
I graduated early, e.g., in December. Can I still compete?
No. You must be a currently registered student.
We have a team. Can we provide documentation for the entire team all at once?
Yes! Most schools can provide this information in one document. Ask your administrative office if they are able to provide a document indicating that the students they have listed in the document are “full-time and in good standing with the school.” Either the school or the coach can email this document to highschool@usapowerlifting.com.
How can an individual prove enrollment and academic standing?
Obtain and Share an Official Transcript
- Receive an official transcript from the administrative office or your guidance counselor at your institution. The transcript must indicate that you are a current student in good standing.
- Submit the .pdf or scanned copy through the JotForm available on the High School Nationals Website. This JotForm will not be available until February 16th.
If you are having trouble obtaining a transcript, email highschool@usapowerlifting.com, and we will work with you.
Is a school schedule enough to verify my eligibility?
No. Documentation verifying full-time status and good standing must be provided.
What if I'm Home Schooled?
You must obtain a document proving that you are enrolled, such as a Certificate of Enrollment or Verification of Enrollment.
