Waiver and Release of Liability
In consideration for being permitted to participate in the above-referenced clay shooting event (“Event”), I, the undersigned participant, acknowledge and agree as follows:
1. Assumption of Risk
I understand that participation in clay shooting and related activities involves inherent risks, including but not limited to:
- Accidental discharge of firearms
- Flying debris, clay fragments, or spent shells
- Hearing damage
- Slips, trips, and falls
- Equipment malfunction
- Negligence of other participants or staff
- Serious bodily injury, permanent disability, or death
I voluntarily assume all risks, known and unknown, associated with participation.
2. Release and Waiver
To the fullest extent permitted by law, I hereby release, waive, discharge, and hold harmless the event organizers, property owners, sponsors, volunteers, instructors, officers, employees, agents, and affiliates (collectively, “Released Parties”) from any and all claims, demands, actions, or causes of action arising out of or related to any injury, loss, or damage to my person or property, including those caused by the negligence of the Released Parties.
3. Indemnification
I agree to indemnify and defend the Released Parties against any claims, damages, costs, or expenses (including attorneys’ fees) arising from my participation or my violation of any event rules or safety requirements.
4. Rules and Safety Compliance
I agree to:
- Follow all range rules and safety instructions
- Wear required eye and ear protection
- Handle firearms safely at all times
- Comply with all applicable laws
- Immediately cease participation if instructed
I understand that failure to comply may result in removal from the Event without refund.
5. Medical Consent
I authorize the Event organizers to obtain emergency medical treatment for me if necessary. I accept responsibility for all related costs.
6. Fitness to Participate
I certify that I am physically and mentally capable of participating safely and am not under the influence of alcohol, drugs, or any substance that may impair my judgment.
7. Photo/Media Release
I grant permission for the use of photographs or video recordings of me for promotional or educational purposes without compensation
8. Severability
If any provision of this agreement is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.
9. Governing Law
This agreement shall be governed by the laws of the State of Texas.
10. Acknowledgment
I have read this Waiver and Release of Liability carefully and fully understand its terms. I understand that I am giving up substantial legal rights and sign it voluntarily.
