Hey Ventura County students!

Show off your creativity and win cash prizes! This year’s theme, “From Heartbreak to Healing to Hope,” is all about expressing strength, compassion, and hope in the face of challenges our communities face today.

What we’re looking for / How to Enter:

• Eye-catching 2D or digital posters (8 ½ x 11 in); No AI submissions
• Original ideas and positive messages
• Creativity that shows healing, community, and hope 
• Submit by May 1, 2026 online or at OPAC, El Concilio, Bell Arts Factory, or One Step A La Vez

Some ideas to get you started:

• Family, friends, and community support 
• Standing together through tough times 
• Kindness, courage, and resilience 
• Culture, identity, and belonging 

Sample slogans:
"Si se Puede" | "Cultura Cura" | “Stronger Together” | “Hope Lives Here” | “Healing Begins With Us” | “Community is Home” | “From Fear to Strength”

Categories & Prizes:

• Age Divisions: Elementary | Middle | High School 
• Top 3 winners in each division: 🥇 $250 | 🥈 $150 | 🥉 $100
• Additional prize categories and surpises to be announced! 

Visibility: 

• Opening Reception: Friday, June 13 at OPAC's Family Art Night, 6:30-8:30pm 
• Winning artwork will be featured at El Concilio's Latino Leadership Awards 
• Artwork may also be featured on websites, social media, and future print/digital materials.

• Ideas originales y mensajes positivos
• Creatividad que refleje sanación, comunidad y esperanza
• Entrega tu cartel antes del 1 de mayo de 2026 en linea o con OPAC, El Concilio, Bell Arts Factory o One Step A La Vez

• Las obras también podrían aparecer en sitios web, redes sociales y futuros materiales impresos o digitales

GUIDELINES

• Submissions must have a positive visual and/or verbal message 
• Any medium may be used, (crayon, paint, pencil, marker, photographs, digital, etc.)
• Posters will be printed 8.5 inches x 11 inches.
• All images and content must be your own, original work, or free from copyright restrictions. 
• If artwork is a dual creation between a parent and child, they will only be eligible for a gift card, not a cash prize. 
• Open to all public, private and homeschooled students in elementary, middle or high school who live or go to school in Ventura County.
• Only one entry per person.
• Please be prepared to submit your original file in case your artwork is chosen.

INSTRUCCIONES

• Los carteles presentados deben tener un mensaje visual y/o verbal positivo.
• Se puede utilizar cualquier medio (crayón, pintura, lápiz, marcador, fotografías, digital, etc.)
• Los carteles se imprimirán en 8,5 pulgadas x 11 pulgadas.
• Todas las imágenes y el contenido deben ser tu propio trabajo original o estar libres de restricciones de derechos de autor. 
• Si la obra de arte es una creación dual entre un padre y un hijo, solo serán elegibles para una tarjeta de regalo, no para un premio en efectivo.
• Abierto a todos los estudiantes públicos, privados y educados en el hogar en la escuela primaria, secundaria o preparatoria que viven o van a la escuela en el condado de Ventura.
• Solo una entrada por persona.
• Prepárate para enviar tu archivo original en caso de que se elija tu obra de arte.

OWNERSHIP OF ARTWORK
Ownership of the artwork submitted for the contest will remain with the artist. El Concilio, OPAC, Bell Arts Factory and One Step A La Vez reserve the right to reproduce and publish any and all artwork submitted for this contest, the artist’s name, age and school for promotional and marketing use.

Each Entry Form submitted by a minor must include the signature of the student's parent or guardian. Posters submitted without all the required information will not be eligible for the contest.

PROPIEDAD DE LA OBRA
La propiedad de la obra de arte presentada para el concurso permanecerá con el artista. El Concilio, OPAC, Bell Arts Factory and One Step A La Vez se reservan el derecho de reproducir y publicar todas y cada una de las obras de arte presentadas para este concurso, el nombre del artista, la edad y la escuela para uso promocional y de marketing.

Cada Formulario de inscripción presentado por un menor debe incluir la firma del padre o tutor del estudiante. Los carteles enviados sin toda la información requerida no serán elegibles para el concurso.
