Mentoring Camp Participant Application

This Camp is primarily designed for those in smaller vehicles without built-in RV systems (generators, water, or sewer hookups aren’t our focus)—such as cars, SUVs, trucks, or cargo trailers. RVs are welcome; we just won’t be covering the use of onboard RV-specific systems.

This Mentoring Camp is designed to help nomads new to the road. However, we want to make sure you have the basic neccessities to be able to live in your rig while at the Mentoring Camp.

Liability Release

 
Going camping is inherently dangerous, and risk is a necessary part of it. When you join a camp, you open yourself up to so many potential risks that we could not begin to list them all. It is impossible for us to go around with you and brush aside all potential danger to you, so we are not offering you any guarantee of safety. Just the opposite: We guarantee that there will be many normal and even abnormal risks around you. By joining a camp, you are agreeing that camping is risky, and you join the caravans knowing that you alone are taking on that risk and that Homes On Wheels Alliance, Inc. cannot be held liable for any harm that befalls you while at a Mentoring Camp.

 

Activity Release Agreement & Waiver

 
By joining a Mentoring Camp, you (the Participant) and Homes on Wheels Alliance, Inc. (HOWA) do contract and agree as follows:

You, the Participant, hereby release and discharge HOWA, and any representative of HOWA of all claims, causes of actions, liabilities, disputes, demands, damages, agreements, contracts, obligations, promises, debts, and/or accounts of any kind or any nature, whether currently known or unknown, for any damage, loss, injury or death relating to actives at the Mentoring Camp, or participation in activities at the Mentoring Camp, which you, the Participant, have or may have in the future against HOWA, or any representative of HOWA, specifically applicable to any claims of negligence against HOWA or any representative of HOWA, as well as all other claims as described herein.

By joining the Mentoring Camp, the Participant agrees to this entire Release and Waiver Agreement.

The Participant understands, acknowledges, and agrees that this Release is a final settlement for any and all claims or actions relating to or arising out of Mentoring  Camp and that the Participant has had the opportunity to carefully review the terms of this Release and Waiver Agreement and/or have it examined by an attorney if so desired. Participant further understands that Participant will not be allowed to litigate any claims against HOWA as a consequence of agreeing to this Waiver and Release Agreement, despite any injury that may be sustained during participation in Mentoring Camps. The Participant and HOWA are entering into this Release & Waiver Agreement voluntarily.

This Release & Waiver Agreement constitutes the entire agreement between the Parties and supersedes any prior or contemporaneous understandings, whether written or oral.

 

Image Release

 
I give Homes On Wheels Alliance, Inc. permission to use my name, likeness, image, voice, and/or appearance as such may be embodied in any pictures, photos, video recordings, audiotapes, digital images, and the like, taken or made on behalf of the Homes On Wheels Alliance, Inc. activities.

I agree that Homes On Wheels Alliance, Inc. have complete ownership of such pictures, etc., including the entire copyright, and may use them for any purpose consistent with the Homes On Wheels Alliance, Inc. mission. These uses include, but are not limited to illustrations, bulletins, exhibitions, videotapes, reprints, reproductions, publications, advertisements, and any promotional or educational materials in any medium now known or later developed, including the Internet.

I acknowledge that I will not receive any compensation, etc. for the use of such pictures, etc., and

hereby release Homes On Wheels Alliance, Inc. and their agents and assigns from any and all claims which arise out of or are in any way connected with such use.

I have read and understood this consent and release.
