Lifting Begins: Saturday at 09:00am (mandatory lifters meeting at 08:15am)

 

Eligibility:

Each competitor must have a valid IPA Membership. Memberships can be purchased at: www.ipapower.com by clicking "JOIN THE IPA TODAY" Memberships will be good for 1 year, and expire on the 1st of the month listed on membership card. YOU MUST BE A MEMBER OF THE IPA TO COMPETE. THOSE WITHOUT ACTIVE MEMBERSHIPS THE DAY OF COMPETITION WILL NOT BE INCLUDED IN THE RESULTS. MEMBERSHIPS ARE NOT RETROACTIVE TO THE DATE OF COMPETITION

Uniforms:

MUST MEET IPA SPECIFICATIONS. ONE PIECE LIFTING SUIT MUST BE WORN. (singlet if you are competing raw) Please note that according to IPA rules, knee wraps and belt and wrist wraps are allowed in the raw division. Note:

This is an Equipped & Raw Meet! Raw is knee wraps or knee sleeves (Raw & Classic Raw), wrist wraps and belt with 1 piece lifting singlet. Equipped is bench shirt, squat or deadlift suit, briefs (optional), knee wraps, belt, and wrist wraps with 1 piece lifting singlet (Multiply & Unlimited).

Awards:

Awards will be given for 1st place, for each full weight class/division, as well as Best Lifter Male and Female (overall by DOTS) Amature & Pro

October 2, 2026. All entries must be received by Oct, 2nd 2026, or may be accepted only if there is space available – please add $20 Late Fee after Oct, 2nd 2026.

RELEASE OF LIABILITY, ASSUMPTION OF RISK & INDEMNITY AGREEMENT

In consideration of being permitted to participate in a powerlifting competition sanctioned by the International Powerlifting Association (IPA), I, the undersigned participant, acknowledge and agree as follows

:1. ASSUMPTION OF RISK

I understand and acknowledge that participation in powerlifting and strength competitions involves inherent risks, including but not limited to:

Serious bodily injury

Muscle, tendon, ligament, or joint injury

Equipment failure

Improper loading or spotting

Judge or volunteer error

Falls, fainting, paralysis, permanent disability, or death

I knowingly and voluntarily assume all risks, whether known or unknown, foreseeable or unforeseeable.

2. RELEASE AND WAIVER OF LIABILITY

I hereby waive, release, and discharge any and all claims, demands, causes of action, or damages of any kind, whether arising from ordinary negligence or otherwise, against:

International Powerlifting Association (IPA)

Jividen Barbell LLC

Chris Jividen, individually and in his capacity as Meet Director

All officers, members, managers, employees, contractors

Event organizers

Judges

Spotters/loaders

Volunteers

Sponsors

Venue owners and operators

Any other affiliated persons or entities

This release applies to all claims, including but not limited to personal injury, property damage, or wrongful death, arising from participation in or presence at the event.

3. NEGLIGENCE CLAUSE

I expressly acknowledge that this release includes claims arising from the ordinary negligence of the released parties.

4. INDEMNIFICATION

I agree to indemnify and hold harmless the released parties from any claims, lawsuits, damages, costs, or expenses (including attorney’s fees) arising from my participation or actions at the event.

5. MEDICAL ACKNOWLEDGEMENT

I certify that I am physically capable of participating and that I assume full responsibility for my medical condition. I consent to emergency medical treatment if deemed necessary.

6. MINORS

If the participant is under 18 years of age, this waiver must be signed by a parent or legal guardian. I understand that waivers for minors may be limited under West Virginia law, but this agreement is intended to be as broad and enforceable as permitted.

7. GOVERNING LAW & VENUE

This agreement shall be governed by and interpreted under the laws of the State of West Virginia, with exclusive venue in Kanawha County, West Virginia.

8. SEVERABILITY

If any portion of this agreement is held invalid, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.

ACKNOWLEDGEMENT

I acknowledge that I have read and fully understand this agreement and that I am voluntarily giving up substantial legal rights.
