      If you will have an accompanying person attending the daytime program, their participation must be approved by one of the Organizing Committee members before completing a separate registration form as a Guest Attendee.

    • AMICAL members attendees are expected to participate in all 3 days of the conference. If for some reason you are unable to do so, please email us at contact@amicalnet.org to explain the circumstances and wait for our instructions before registering.

    • AMICAL members hotel support (start) 
    • Accommodation at the conference hotel, for the nights surrounding your conference attendance and including breakfasts, is covered for you by our sponsorship program. Read the conditions on the financial support page carefully before using this form to request accommodation, as you will be held financially responsible for any fees beyond what is covered by AMICAL.

    • Invited speaker hotel support (start) 
    • As an invited speaker, AMICAL is able to provide accommodation at the conference hotel, including breakfasts. Lunch will be provided on all conference days, and an all-conference dinner will be provided on April 1st. We will cover these accommodations for an arrival up to 2 days before your first day of conference attendance, until departure the day after your last day of conference attendance (ignore conflicting instructions about arrival dates below, which are intended for other attendees).

    • Non-AMICAL hotel (start) 
    • You will be responsible for all your hotel costs, but we encourage you to book at the conference hotel, as that will enable you to take advantage of the shuttle bus to campus.

    • Attendees from American University in Dubai should not use this form to request accommodations unless they have confirmed this first with the Organizers.

      • After submitting this form, any changes, cancellations, or questions about your booking should be sent to auslibrary@aus.edu
      • Any booking requests for nights that go beyond what AMICAL is covering will be billed to you. Details about billing, as well as fees for changes or cancellations, will be sent after the close of registration. See Financial support if you have questions about what costs are covered by AMICAL.
      • Because our group booking must be settled at close of registration, you will be responsible for any fees that result from changes to your booking after registration closes, even if you are covered by financial support.
      • All rooms have only one bed. If you have special requirements (e.g. you are traveling with an accompanying person), explain your request below.
      • We will be requesting exact arrival/departure information later; here, simply provide your arrival/departure dates based on your expected days of conference participation indicated above, taking into account:

      Your airfare estimate below should be for the lowest available economy airfare for a reasonable itinerary from your departure city to either Dubai (DXB) or Sharjah (SHJ), for the arrival and departure dates you’ve indicated just above, rounded and expressed in EUROS (use a currency converter if needed). See the Financial support page for what we mean by ‘reasonable’ itinerary. We will do our best to take into account your estimate in reviewing your request, but we cannot guarantee that the approved support amount will match your estimate.

    • Registration fee

    • The registration fee for the AMICAL Conference will be waived this year for all current AMICAL members, invited speakers, and sponsors (up to the limit of their sponsorship category).

      Registration covers participation in all conference events (program sessions, lunches, breaks and the all-conference dinner), as well as group transportation between the conference hotel and the campus on event days. It does not cover transportation from the airport to the hotel.

    • You agree to give AMICAL and the American University of Sharjah (AUS) permission to use photos, audio or video that have been recorded of you during the conference. Any such use will be for non-commercial purposes, such as education or promotion of AMICAL’s consortial programs.

    • AMICAL will use the information you provide on this form to organize the event, as described in our Privacy Policy. We will use your contact information to send you updates about this event. We will share your information with AUS only for the same uses.

      To help keep your institution’s AMICAL representative informed of local colleagues’ involvement in AMICAL activities, we will share with them basic information about your registration (Name, Job title, Roles, Email, Days of attendance, Arrival/departure dates).

    • Optionally, you may also subscribe to our mailing list to receive updates about future AMICAL events and initiatives.

    • After submitting the form you will be taken to a “Thank you!” page, indicating that the submission was successful. If you do not reach this page, then something has gone wrong. Consult our form troubleshooting page to find out how to proceed.
