• 2026 Spring 4 H Shooting Sports Workshop

    April 10 - 12, Ross Camp, Tippecanoe County, Indiana

  • Each year IDNR's Hunter Education Program, in association with Purdue University, provides two training workshops for the 4-H Shooting Sports Program. This training is required to be a volunteer instructor in a county 4-H Shooting Sports Program.

    We greatly appreciate the support that 4-H Volunteers provide to the 4-H Shooting Sports program and are happy to make this investment as we continue our partnership with the Indiana Department of Natural Resources. We also want to thank you for your commitment to serving Indiana youth through the 4-H Shooting Sports educational program!

    * = The Coordinator Session is shorter and only comes with 1 meal. If additional meals are required the registration becomes the standard $250. Coordinator Meal Selection is indicated later in this form.

    The standard $175 Coordinator Session only comes with 1 meal provided (Saturday Lunch). If you would like to have additional meals, the cost for the session will rise to $250

  • Participating Status

    Please indicate if you are a New Instructor or if you are a Returning Instructor coming back for another discipline.

  • Round Table

    On Friday night, while first time participants are attending their mandatory session, the State Training Team hosts a Returning Participant Round Table in the A-Frame.  This session is for returning participants only and will cover topics like Funding & Grants, Program Needs, Recruitment, Retention, and much more.  This is a participant driven discussion and tailored to your needs, concerns, and questions.  This is a great opportunity to network with the Indiana 4-H Shooting Sports State Training Team and fellow volunteer instructors like yourself.  Bring your questions, ideas, and a comfy chair!

          • 4H Shooting Sports Adult Leader Training Cancellation Policy

          • All cancellations must be made by phone or email to either Tim Beck (317-694-7531 tbeck@dnr.in.gov) or Chris Clark (317-605-1028 chclark@dnr.in.gov).

            Any cancellation made a minimum of 10 days in advance of the workshop start date (Friday, 6 PM) receives a full refund.

            Any cancellation after the 10-day advance period, but before 24 hours prior to the start of the workshop (Friday, 6 PM) will receive a 50% refund or be billed for 50 % of the registration fee payable upon receipt of the invoice.

            Any cancellation within 24 hours of the workshop start date (Friday, 6 PM) will get no refund, and, if not already paid, will be billed for the full amount of the workshop due upon receipt of the invoice.

            All invoices (if necessary) will be sent to the participant, the Extension Educator and Jamie Morris/David Osborne.
