EMERGE Speaker Code of Ethics
Please read and sign below to confirm your agreement.
At Emerge, our mission is to cultivate safe, inspired, and ego-free spaces where authentic connection and growth can thrive. As a speaker, you are an integral part of that mission.
By participating, you agree to uphold the following values:
1. Lead with Integrity
Present authentic, original content and credit all sources appropriately.
Communicate with honesty, clarity, and respect.
Honor the time, energy, and investment of attendees.
Show up present and professional—fully engaged and free of impairing substances.
2. Create an Inclusive Space
Use inclusive language and examples that affirm all identities, including LGBTQ+, BIPOC, religious, and disabled professionals.
Avoid stereotypes, assumptions, or exclusionary language.
Treat every individual with dignity and respect, regardless of background or role.
3. Be Collaborative, Not Competitive
Embody Emerge’s values: connection over ego and collaboration over competition.
Refrain from overt self-promotion. Promotion is welcome when framed as part of the educational or relational value of your session (e.g., sharing a helpful freebie, opt-in, or tool).
You may send one follow-up email to attendees—please ensure they opt in to your mailing list.
Focus on contributing to the collective experience—not just personal brand visibility.
4. Be Engaged & Prepared
Arrive prepared and meet all deadlines for materials and communication.
Respond promptly and professionally to the Emerge team.
Support fellow speakers and leaders with generosity and encouragement.
5. Be Accountable
Receive feedback from attendees and the Emerge team with openness and humility.
If harm is caused, take responsibility and be willing to repair.
By signing below, you agree to uphold these values and help steward the Emerge mission with care and intention.
