Community Awards 2026 Nominations
Before you nominate:
- please note you will need to upload a high res headshot of the nominee at the end of this form (400px square minimum)
- let the nominee know you are nominating them, and ask for a headshot if you don't have one
Council will be in touch with them about the awards ceremony attendance if they are eligible for an award.

1. The Pauline McLeod Awards for Reconciliation acknowledges the achievements of those who work to promote Reconciliation through selfless acts.
2. The Citizen, Senior Citizen and Young Citizen of the Year Awards aim to recognise outstanding contributions from individuals within the Inner West community.
3. The Amy Large Volunteer Awards, including the Carla Stacey Leadership in Sport Volunteer Award, celebrates the enormous contribution volunteers make in the Inner West.
You and the nominee will be invited to Inner West Council's Community Awards Celebration, held Wednesday 20 May 2026 at Marrickville Town Hall.

Eligibility
- Must be a resident, student, worker, or a volunteer within the Inner West local government area; or hold a cultural connection to Gadigal/Wangal lands that Inner West Council resides on
- Must not be Members of Parliament, former Councillors, or employees of Inner West Council
- Must be nominated by someone other than themselves
- Previous award recipients over the past 3 years are ineligible to be re-nominated
- Council reserves the right to withdraw an award if further information or the recipient's conduct draws the Council awards into disrepute
- Awards will not be granted posthumously
- For the Volunteer Awards: nominees must have undertaken volunteer work in the past 12 months
- Each organisation may only nominate one person OR one team
