    The “Organising Body” referred to in this document is Pedal Prix Racing (PPR) “Event/s” referred to in this document is any one of the events, or combination thereof, that make up the Adelaide University Pedal Prix Racing Championship and any other stand-alone events conducted by PPR.

    Part One: Applicable to All Teams

    1. Acknowledge having read the Conditions of Entry** detailed during the electronic entry process, and agreed to prior to this team being accepted into any Adelaide University Pedal Prix Racing Championship events.

    2. Acknowledge and accept my roles and responsibilities on behalf of my team as follows:

    2.1 I am the official contact between the Organising Body and the Team and have read and understood my obligations as a Team Manager as set out in the Event Manual for each event entered.

    2.2 I am responsible for submitting all required documentation to the Organising Body.

    2.3 I am responsible for ensuring the Team meets its obligation to provide a minimum of 2 trained Marshals for every event entered.

    2.4 I will cooperate with the event organisers to ensure the safety of all team members by sharing relevant information which may impact on the safety of individual team members or the team as a whole. I will immediately notify the event organisers of any risks to the health or safety of any participants or attendees that I become aware of.

    2.5 I have read and will comply with any COVID-19 or other infectious diseases requirements issued by SA Health and/or the Organising Body.

    2.6 I will ensure that all riders in my team have been given sufficient instruction and training for the event/s entered and have:

    2.6.1 An appropriate level of physical fitness, conditioning and endurance to safely participate in the event and that there are no medical conditions which may impact on their ability to safely participate and any necessary medical clearances have been obtained from their treating medical specialists prior to entry into the event;

    2.6.2 Sufficient experience and competence in handling the Pedal Prix Racing Vehicle and carrying out safety manoeuvres to participate safely in the event. Further that all team members have a thorough understanding of all aspects of the operation of the vehicle.

    2.7 I will ensure each rider has all necessary adjustments in their vehicle made before they leave the pit area. This will include correct adjustment of seat belts and mirrors and ensure that all required lights and warning devices are functioning correctly.

    2.8 I am responsible and have a duty of care to the riders of the vehicle to, at all times, ensure that all rider protection structures have been inspected prior to the event and are intact and adequately meet their purpose and that no aspect of the vehicle compromises rider safety at any time and will ensure compliance with all items on the Team Manager Check List.

    2.9 I will ensure all team members abide by the rules of the competition and act within the spirit of the event. I will brief all team members on their obligations and on suitable behaviour. I understand that the event organisers have the right to penalise and/or disqualify any team or team member not complying with the rules.

    2.10 I am responsible for the conduct of all people in or associated with the team and for providing appropriate supervision, particularly of any minors, to ensure their safety at all times.

    2.11  will ensure all team members and/or their legal Guardian and all others associated with the team have read and understood all Rules, Event Manuals, Safety Procedures and Specifications issued for each event and are aware of the consequences of any infringement.

    2.12 I or my proxy will be present in the Team’s pit area throughout the event and have the nominated contact mobile phone on hand which will be turned on and not diverted or switched to message bank at all times.

    2.13 I will be present at the Team Managers’ briefing of each event entered. This applies to Team Managers and/or their nominated proxies for the event.

    2.14 I will not be a riding member of the team unless permission is obtained from the Organising Body at least one week prior to the event.

    2.15 I will ensure that all areas used during the event by the team, its support staff and visitors are kept tidy and are left tidy after the event, and all rubbish is removed from the area and taken away or deposited in appropriate bins at the event.

    2.16 Have fulfilled my obligations in particular as outlined in Clause 14 of Form 3.

    "Categories S1 to S3 - A Medical Declaration Form carrying relevant medical information to assist with emergency treatment as required for school excursions, or similar, has been completed and I am covered by adequate appropriate insurance (eg school insurance, ambulance cover)."

  • Part 2: Applicable Only to Teams with Riders who are Minors

    2.17 I am aware of and acknowledge the obligations of every person to safeguard and promote the safety of children and young people and keep them safe from harm under the Children and Young People (Safety) Act 2017 and the mandatory reporting obligations placed on me should I suspect on reasonable grounds that a child or young person is, or may be at risk of sexual, physical, mental or emotional abuse or neglect during the course of the event. I also agree to report any such suspicions to the event organisers during the course of the event.

    2.18 I have a current Working With Children Check which I will provide to the Organising Body prior to the event and will ensure that all parents or volunteers assisting with the team also have a current Working With Children Check (or state based equivalant).

    2.19 I will ensure that all team members have been appropriately informed of the risks associated with competing in the event as described in the Rider Risk Warning and Waiver of Liability and to the best of my knowledge have not been coerced into agreeing to compete in the event against their free will.
