    Hello, Class of 2027 Spartans! We are excited about next year! Carefully complete your electronic Subject Selection with the help of your counselor or parent/guardian by no later than March 15, 2026. Administration reserves the right to select courses for any student who fails to submit their subject selection by the due date. Course schedule will be prioritized in the following order: core classes, magnet classes, AP and DE classes, classes based on course progression (level 1, 2, 3, and 4), and student selected elective choices.

  • CORE CLASSES

    ENGLISH, MATH, SCIENCE, and SOCIAL STUDIES
  • You will be placed into core classes based on course progression, assessment levels, GPA, and teacher recommendation. Once student core courses are selected, you will be notified of your core class placement and be able to speak to your counselor if you have any concerns before the end of the year. 

    If you are an AP Capstone student or wish to take specific AP and DE courses, please select "YES" to the Advanced Academic Courses Request question below.

  • If you still need a 3rd Science credit, please pick from the options in the drop down below. 

    If you plan on attending college and might major in a STEM field, you NEED to make sure that you take CHEMISTRY. Please check your GradTrack to help answer this question. Teacher recommendations will also be looked at for science course placements as well.

    Colleges want to see students who are majoring in a STEM field (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics) take more than 3 science credits. 

  • ADVANCED ACADEMIC COURSES

    If you are interested in taking additional Advanced Academic courses next year, please select YES to the question below. If you select YES below, you will be emailed the Advanced Academic Subject Selection Form to your student email. The AP Coordinator and counselors will approve/deny AP course requests after reviewing student data (GPA, test scores, and attendance). Lastly, enrollment in an AP course will require both the student and parent/guardian to sign an AP Contract.

    List your elective choices in order of preference (1 - 7).
  • Please Note - If you are in one of our Magnet Programs, your Magnet Electives will automatically be placed into your schedule.

    PLEASE NOTE THAT EVERY EFFORT IS MADE TO ENROLL STUDENTS WITH THE CLASSES HE/SHE SELECTED. HOWEVER THERE ARE TIMES, THAT DUE TO SCHEDULING CONFLICTS, THE COURSE SELECTED MAY NOT BE AVAILABLE. FURTHERMORE, IF YOU SELECT AN ELECTIVE DURING SUBJECT SELECTION YOU CANNOT CHANGE YOUR MIND THE UPCOMING YEAR.

    DO NOT SELECT THE SAME ELECTIVE MULTIPLE TIMES.

  • MANDATORY ELECTIVE: If you have not passed an AP exam (score of 3 or higher), passed a dual enrollment course (with a C or higher), or passed an industry certification exam (such as ServSafe, Word Press, or another certification exam through your magnet program), YOU WILL BE SCHEDULED INTO ONE OF THE FOLLOWING ELECTIVES for SENIOR YEAR:

    • X13/X23-DE SLS 1510 - Preparing for Student Success/Career Research & Decision Making  (Unweighted GPA greater than 2.5)  
    • X03-Foundations of Web Design (Unweighted GPA less than 2.5)
