    Richardson Neighborhood Skills Camp | July 6-8, 2026 | 201 N Plano Road, Richardson

  • Camp will serve boys and girls from 6-12. Adults, and Teens 13-17 with parent permission, may serve as volunteers.

    This camp is a collaboration between Grace Communion Richardson and AHG Troops TX1595, TX147 and Trail Life Troop 147.

    Camp will run Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday, July 6-8th, 2026 (10-4pm). On Wednesday evening from 4-5pm we will have an Open House Dinner for family and friends to see what the children have been doing. 

    There will be 6 sessions of skills learning (2 each day). Each session is 1 hr and 15 minutes long. Some skills may run over 2 sessions. Both boys and girls can register to learn any skill. Children will sign up to learn one skill (or related set of skills) per session. Each session would ideally have 4-6 children learning together with a skills leader and one or two group leaders.

  • Staff Background Check & References

  • In order to provide a safe environment for the children we are serving, volunteers ages 18 and over MUST have a current Ministry Safe background check with Grace Communion Richardson.

    If a background check is needed, we will be in contact with you to request a more extensive application, including three references, and to initiate the background check. All background checks are kept confidential and are inaccessible by any person not part of the Pastoral Team.

     

    Volunteers 13-17 years old must either be a current member of AHG/TL or provide two references. If references are needed, we will contact you.
