  • Dress Code

For the dance, Regency-era attire is encouraged, but not required.

We do require adherence to a dress code.

Ladies can wear a Regency style dress (Simplicity has a pattern-4055) or other appropriate dress that follows these guidelines:

Please, no strapless, backless, skirts above the knee, or spaghetti straps.  There is a lot of movement in these dances and you don't want to worry about your dress throughout the night.

Gentlemen should wear a suit or a dress shirt, tie, and dress pants.  Please, NO jeans or tennis shoes!

Parents are welcome to stay, but we ask that you wear dress clothes as this is a special event.  No jeans or tennis shoes please.

  • Etiquette
Please keep in mind that this is not a "date" dance.  The etiquette guidelines would be similar to those expected in "society" from the Regency Era and are expected to be followed to represent proper etiquette at this event.

    1. Gentlemen must ask the young ladies to dance with proper manners.
    2. Ladies, please say "yes" to the gentleman's request if asked with proper manners.

    3. Gentlemen, do not ask the same young lady over and over to dance.
    4. Gentlemen should give ALL the young ladies an opportunity to dance.

    5. If all gentlemen are dancing, the young ladies may pair up and dance together.

Students must remain in designated areas.  There will be chaperones posted by the doors.

We also ask that younger siblings please NOT attend.

If you would like to volunteer please follow this Chaperone Sign-Up Link to sign up.

We also need food donations! This is how we are able to keep costs as low as possible. We are planning a charcuterie board style meal for the students!
