  • N.A.P.S. Referral Partner Agreement

  • This Partnership Agreement (“Agreement”) is entered into between N.A.P.S. (National Association of Postpartum Support) and the undersigned Referral Partner (“Partner”) for the purpose of building a collaborative, ethical, and community-centered network of care for prenatal and postpartum families.

  • Purpose of the Partnership
    N.A.P.S. exists to ensure families receive holistic, culturally responsive, and accessible support during pregnancy, postpartum, and the fourth trimester. This partnership is designed to strengthen access to care by connecting families with trusted providers, services, and resources through a shared referral network.

  • Scope of the Partnership
    As a N.A.P.S. Referral Partner, you agree to:
    * Participate in a collaborative referral network that prioritizes client-centered care.
    * Refer clients to N.A.P.S. and other referral partners when appropriate.
    * Receive referrals from N.A.P.S. based on client needs and partner scope of practice.
    *Maintain open communication with N.A.P.S. regarding clients referred through this network, when applicable, to support continuity of care.

    N.A.P.S. agrees to:

    * Refer families to you when your services best meet their needs
    * Allow partners to refer families back to N.A.P.S. for classes, groups, education, and connection to additional partners
    * Provide partners access to N.A.P.S. services as part of this collaborative relationship

    * Serve as a referring partner to you for services aligned with your scope, including but not limited to:
    * Fourth trimester education
    * Rest and relaxation support
    * Nutrition education
    * Advocacy and navigation
    * Lactation education and support

  • Access to Care Support


    N.A.P.S. recognizes that some families may need services they cannot afford. As part of this partnership:


    * Access to care may include supporting a client’s ability to receive services from a partner they otherwise could not afford
    * This support may be provided in addition to existing funding, scholarships, or community resources available through N.A.P.S.
    * All access-to-care support is subject to availability and determined on a case-by-case basis

  • Ethical Practice & Professional Responsibility


    To ensure safety, integrity, and trust within the partnership, all partners agree to:

    * Operate strictly within their professional scope of practice
    Maintain any required licenses, certifications, and professional credentials
    * Carry their own professional liability insurance, when applicable
    * Comply with all local, state, and federal regulations related to their services
    * Each partner acknowledges that they are an independent provider and that

    N.A.P.S. is not liable for services rendered by referral partners, nor are partners liable for services rendered by N.A.P.S.

  • Communication & Collaboration

    Partners agree to:
    * Maintain respectful and timely communication with N.A.P.S.
    * Notify N.A.P.S. when accepting clients referred through the network, when appropriate
    * Collaborate in good faith to ensure families receive the most appropriate and supportive care possible
    * This communication is intended to support coordination, not oversight or control, and to help ensure families are not falling through gaps in care.

  • Mutual Referrals & Relationship


    This partnership is rooted in mutual trust and shared mission. Both parties acknowledge that:
    * Referrals may flow both to and from N.A.P.S.
    * No minimum referral volume is guaranteed
    * Participation does not create an employer-employee relationship, joint venture, or exclusive agreement
